The Veterans Appreciation Foundation hosts breakfasts for our Veterans throughout the year.
Luke Heister recently took a fishing trip on Lake Erie on the Knot a Worry fishing boat owned by Tony Adams. Tony is a board member of the Veterans Appreciation Foundation and offered the trips to Muskingum County Veterans.

This was a joint effort of the local American Legion Post #29, Knights of Columbus and the Veterans appreciation foundation. A breakfast for Veterans and Spouses or Caregivers was held on April 17th.
This was a joint effort of the local American Legion #29, VFW #1058 and the Veterans appreciation foundation. The VAF and our Zanesville JROTC helped with preparation and distribution of the care packages to all veterans in our assisted living, long term care facilities and hospice.
This year, the annual Wreaths Across America included honoring 40 local veterans who died during the COVID-19 lockdown. When the Veteran Appreciation Foundation learned that graveside military honors were unable to be performed at the time of death, the VAF membership reached out to Snouffer Funeral Home (local WAA host) to coordinate honoring these fallen soldiers at the WAA ceremony. Families of these fallen heroes were appreciative of this effort; one family travelled from Dayton Ohio to attend.
